My FAQ

Andy with some cows
How long have you been vegan?

Since 2003.

How many tattoos have you got?

Tons – both arms are sleeved, a small one on the back of my neck, and heavy coverage on my stomach and chest. Plans for more in the future when I have the money, time and inclination to be in pain!

Didn’t your tattoos hurt?

Yes, funnily enough they did. Arms not so much but stomach, chest and especially ribcage ain’t nothing nice.

Why do you love SEO?

The web has always fascinated me. With SEO I think it’s the mix of data, analysis, guesswork and creativity that I love.
Also how it’s always fluid – you can never know everything and you have to be constantly learning and testing to be on top of your game.

What’s your favourite vegan junk food?

If we’re talking fast food then probably Gregg’s vegan sausage roll – a real game changer.

Chocolate – Vego White.

Why are you vegan?

I don’t want to kill or harm other creatures.

How long have you been doing SEO for?

Officially/full time employed for about eight years.
Unofficially/bits here and there/own stuff/on and off since 1999.

What’s your favourite 80s film?

By far this would be Back To The Future. Close runners would be

  • Ferris Bueller’s Day Off
  • Gremlins
  • Goonies
  • Breakfast Club
  • Terminator

What are your experiences of mental health?

I’ve suffered from depression since I was a teenager. This has included self-harm and anxiety. I was diagnosed as Bipolar about ten years ago.

What’s the longest you’ve run for?

I’ve completed three 100 mile ultras (North Downs Way 100, Thames Path 100 and Autumn 100).
These all involved a fair amount of walking as well as running!

Why do you run ultra marathons?

A few reasons: the huge sense of achievement; the personal challenge; the camaraderie of the ultra community; the sense of adventure; and being able to spend an entire day shoving my face full of crisps and cake.
